Metro Screen in collaboration with Screen Australia will work with three NSW filmmaking teams (producer, director, writer) to produce short films for broadcast on ABC2 television, as part of the national Raw Nerve production initiative.
All Raw Nerve films made around the country, by over 18 emerging filmmakers, will work with the theme “One Night”.
The three teams selected in NSW will participate in Metro Screen’s script development workshop STORY INCUBATOR, with Directors refining their craft skills at the DIRECTOR FOUNDRY before rolling the camera in full-scale production. The final projects will receive a cast and crew screening and be assessed by ABC2 for television broadcast.
The Raw Nerve funding program offers 3 places for teams to develop and produce a 5 minute narrative project, with $3500 cash funding, professional equipment and facilities as well as an intensive development hot house.
Applicants are required to submit a three-minute video pitch outlining the team’s experience and a script for the project that incorporates the theme “One Night”.
Applications close 27 January.
Applications will be assessed by Metro Screen’s Productions and Projects Manager and a panel of industry representatives.
For more information about the project call David Optiz on (02) 9356 1818 or here.
