Acclaimed musical actress Lea Salonga is set to wow Sydney audiences. As part of her Australian tour, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning star will be performing in a one-night only concert at Sydney’s Town Hall.
Renowned for her iconic performances in Miss Saigon and Les Misérables, Salonga reached a new generation of fans as the singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, and Fa Mulan in Mulan. In 2012, she performed at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, where according to The Sydney Morning Herald her ‘bell-like voice…enraptured an adoring audience’. Of more recent cabaret performances, The New Yorker noted that Salonga’s ‘experience has deepened her vocal skills and her power to enchant an intimate room’.
Having recently wrapped up her tour with Il Divo, Salonga will perform with George Takei in the Broadway premiere of Allegiance in October.
