1. Moderate diet consisting mostly of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs with little consumption of meat and fat. Better to leave the dining table a little bit hungry than too full.
2. Continuous work throughout life including farm work in rural areas, household tasks and even child care.
3. Family and community are important. All those with long lives are well-integrated into families of several generations and interact frequently with friends and neighbours.
4. Exercise and relaation are part of the daily routine. They take a stroll in the morning and evening, have a midday nap. Several hours socializing in the evening by telling stories and discussing the day’s events. They are respected and strong traditions, ensure the elderly have important role.
