Spring has sprung! Soon all the new blooms in the garden bring fragrance to the surroundings. Trees will grow leaves and soon my garden will be full of birds in the mornings or through the days tweeting or sipping nectars. Sunny days will be fantastic, my morning walk through the Gosford waterfront will resume and also a hike to Terrigal Skillion will be on the cards. Hmm. Hibernated a bit during the winter months at my third storey tower, just watching the world go by, watching in the distance. I usually hear the chug chugging of the trains especially in the mornings or dawn trips for commuters who got early shift in Sydney! Our downsizing was a great blessing for us .. this more simple life in Gosford City suits us well. No more mowing of lawns, cleaning the swimming pool, fixing fences etcetera. Life in the city is just fine.
The Australian Filipino Association of the CC, under the leadership of President Peps Burlat, has just celebrated their 26th year with a combined Recognition and Thanksgiving and Birthday Bash for July-August celebrants. It was a huge success. On this spread will be photos taken on the night. Over-all coordinator for the BB were Sarah Fauser, Em Emz and Maida Navarrete. Of course Sarah is the reigning Charity Queen 2015, and these ladies spared nothing to show the members how to lift the beauty of the night with red decorations and trimmings plus a red carpet. We were asked to wear a red-black motif. I thought my silver grey ensemble could be the new black as I heard from Channel 7.. The towering cup cakes prepared by Emy surely added to the delight of everyone. The Recognition portion was presented by Mr Pres Peps and Adviser of AFACC former president Adora Ynque. Great honour to be included in the list of honourees! Please enjoy the photos, complete with a huge display of food and sweets for all to enjoy. Thank you all officers, members and guest for a thrilling night. Thank you June Youn and Trinity for providing us a nostalgice performance. Ms Elena and Jne were fantastic Master of Ceremoinies.

Notes on our calendar: The AGM of AFACC will be held last weekend of September. We are inviting our members to be proactive on the day. More news soon. Invitations to other groups in Sydney are being taken on board with our next visit to Western Sydney to celebrate with Banag Banag. In September. We are also considering invites from PCC NSW and some affiliates to continue with our new slogan cooperating with other groups. It is always lovely to spread our wings, I reckon. The world is our oyster. We have to seize the day.
Happy birthday to all September born. Danny Dingle, Bill Rudd, Brett Abrahams. Wedding anniversary greetings to Faye and Ariel Demagante. God bless. Mabuhay tayong lahat.
