Each year, we gather to remember a loving man with a golf game and the winner of The Pete Cruzado Memorial Cup was nephew Mitchell Greenhill, 2nd place to John Cruzado and 3rd place went to Killian Duncan.
During a visit to Sydney, we attended the 13th birthday of niece Jerri Cruzado in their Glenmore Park home with three newborn cousins attending their first party.
We also visited my Uncle Adolfo and Aunt Marietta Cruzado of Wentworthville.
Over the past 12 years they have been heavily involved with the PhilAus Country Club which was recently deregistered.
The group donated $5000 to the St Ezekiel Moreno Nursing Home and Hostel run by the Augustinian Recollect Sisters at Croyden.
Other recipients included The Salvation Army and the Westmead Millenium Research facility.
The voluntary organisation would like to thank all those who supported the various fundraising activities over the years.
Closer to home, having only moved to Tweed Heads in March, I recently met some members of the Tweed Filipino community and there is an annual Christmas party at the Tweed Head Bowls Club on December 8.
