Coach Joseph Gonzalez had to endure tense moments in the last minute of the ball game to steer his Hoopdreamz wards to an 84-83 win over the Sydney Cobras in the u25 Ultimate Basketball League Grand Finals at the Parramatta Wildcats stadium.

Fil-Aussies Pat O’Brien 13 points and JR Bullivant 12 points led the Rebels charge with a solid performance throughout the game. 6’2” O’Brien was a thorn on the Cobras side with his inside penetrations and 6’5” Bullivant was a tower in defence and rebounding situations aside from scoring inside perimeter sorties.

Sydney Cobras peppery point guard Fil-Asian Nay Sakya 27 points led his team in a masterful performance on his team’s comeback in the 4th quarter. He almost tied the game with a long trey in the last seconds of the game but got fouled in the process. He missed one of his three free shots to come up short that would have tied the game.

The Hoopdreamz Rebels squad was up 46-30 at halftime.
